海国图智将赴美国佛州现场举办‘习特会’成果讨论会

　　The highly anticipated Xi-Trump summit will conclude in Mar-a-lago, with possible profound implications for US-China relations and the whole world. In order to assess such impacts, Intellisia Institute from Guangzhou, China and the Carter Center China Program will co-hold a panel discussion on US-China relations immediately after the Xi-Trump summit has concluded.
　　The expert panel will discuss the major outcomes of the Xi-Trump summit and its implications for US-China relations and the global order. Of particular importance are the questions about the future of US-China relations in the Trump era and China’s increasing role in global governance. Major questions include: What are the major outcomes of the summit? How do China and the U.S. define the relationship? What kind of cooperation and conflicts will emerge in coming years?
　　After the session, panelists will take audience questions.

　　备受瞩目的“习特会”将在海湖庄园登场，这可能对今后的中美关系和整个世界会产生深远的影响。为了评估这些影响，中国的海国图智研究院和美国卡特中心中国项目在“习特会”后共同举办了美中关系讨论会。
　　专家小组将讨论“习特会”的主要成果及其对美中关系和全球秩序的影响。尤其重要的是，特朗普时代美中关系的未来走势以及中国在全球治理中越来越重要的角色。
　　讨论会后，讨论组成员将会回应听众的问题。

　　LIU Yawei 刘亚伟
　　Yawei Liu is director of the China Program and has been a member of numerous Carter Center missions to monitor Chinese village, township, and county people’s congress deputy elections since 1997. Dr. Liu has written extensively on China’s political developments and grassroots democracy, including three edited book series: "Rural Election and Governance in Contemporary China" (Northwestern University Press, Xi’an, 2002 and 2004), "The Political Readers" (China Central Translation Bureau Press, Beijing, 2006), and "Elections & Governance" (Northwestern University Press, Xian, 2009). He is the founder and editor of the China elections and governance website www.chinaelections.org. Dr. Liu is also co-author of the popular Chinese book "Obama: The Man Who Will Change America" (October 2008).
　　Dr. Liu is adjunct professor of political science at Emory University and associate director of the China Research Center in Atlanta.
　　He earned his bachelor’s degree in English literature from Xi’an Foreign Languages Institute (1982), master’s degree in recent American history from the University of Hawaii (1989), and doctorate in American political and diplomatic history from Emory University (1996).
　　刘亚伟，美国卡特中心(The Carter Center)中国项目主任，佐治亚帕里米特学院教授，中国研究中心副主任（www.chinacenter.net），全美中国研究联合会（United Society of China Studies）会长，复旦大学社会科学高等研究院的特聘教授。1998年，刘亚伟博士出任美国卡特中心(The Carter Center)中国项目副主任，2005年起升任该项目的主任，长期负责卡特中心与中公及学术机构的合作事宜；曾五次陪同卡特总统访问中国并会见中国最高领导人。同时，刘亚伟博士还是位于亚特兰大的中国研究中心副主任（www.chinacenter.net），全美中国研究联合会（United Society of China Studies）的当选会长，还是上海复旦大学社会科学高等研究院的特聘教授。其研究方向为美国政治史和政治发展，中美关系，中国民主化，全球化背景和中国崛起下的中国政治社会发展和台海关系。在过去若干年里，刘亚伟博士撰写和编辑了很多与中国选举和治理有关的中文和英文文章以及各种书籍，其中，他主编的《当代中国农村治理与选举观摩丛书》（陕西西安西北大学出版社，15本）和《德赛政治论丛》（北京中央编译出版社，4本）在国内反响较大。近年来，刘亚伟博士在国内报刊（包括《环球时报》、《国际先驱导报》、《中国青年报》和《学习时代》）发表多篇中英文文章。

　　Stephen Orlins 史蒂芬·欧伦斯
　　Stephen A. Orlins (1 January, 1950 – ) has been President of the National Committee on United States-China Relations since May 1, 2005. Prior to becoming president, Mr. Orlins was the managing director of Carlyle Asia, one of Asia’s largest (USD 750M) private equity funds. Since its founding in 1999, he has been and remains the chairman of the Board of Taiwan Broadband Communications (TBC). TBC is now one of the three largest cable television companies in Taiwan with over 640,000 subscribers. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Orlins was a senior advisor to AEA Investors Inc., a New York based leveraged buyout firm, with responsibility for AEA’s business activities throughout Asia.
　　From 1983 to 1991, Mr. Orlins was with the investment banking firm of Lehman Brothers where he was a Managing Director from 1985 to 1991. From 1987 to 1990, he served as President of Lehman Brothers Asia. Based in Hong Kong, he supervised over 150 professionals with offices in Hong Kong, Korea, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Manila and Singapore. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Mr. Orlins practiced law with Coudert Brothers and Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison in New York, Hong Kong and Beijing.
　　From 1976 to 1979, Mr. Orlins served in the Office of the Legal Advisor of the United States Department of State, first in the Office of the Assistant Legal Advisor for Political-Military Affairs and then for East Asian and Pacific Affairs. While in that office, he was a member of the legal team that helped establish diplomatic relations with the People’s Republic of China.
　　史蒂芬·欧伦斯（1950年1月1日 – ）自2005年5月1日起任美中关系全国委员会会长。在成为主席之前，史蒂芬·欧伦斯先生是亚洲最大私募基金公司之一凯雷亚洲的总裁。自1999年成立，他就一直担任台湾宽带通信（TBC）董事长。TBC现在是台湾三大有线电视公司之一，拥有超过64万的用户。在加入凯雷之前，史蒂芬·欧伦斯先生是AEA投资公司的高级顾问，AEA投资公司是一家纽约的融资公司，他主要负责AEA在亚洲各地的业务活动。
　　1983年至1991年，史蒂芬·欧伦斯先生加入雷曼兄弟投资银行公司，1985年至1991年担任执行董事。1987年至1990年，他担任雷曼兄弟亚太区总裁，其总部设在香港，他负责管理150多名香港，韩国，中国，台湾，泰国，马尼拉和新加坡设的专业人士。在加入雷曼兄弟之前，史蒂芬·欧伦斯先生与驻纽约，香港和北京的科比兄弟和保罗，魏斯，里夫金德，沃顿商学院等合作从事法律事务。

　　YU Bin 于滨
　　YU Bin is Professor of Political Science and East Asian Studies at Wittenberg University (Ohio, USA), and senior fellow of the Shanghai Association of American Studies and Senior Fellow at Russian Studies Center of the East China Normal University in Shanghai.
　　Yu is the author and co-author of six books, and more than 140 book chapters and articles in journals including World Politics, Strategic Review, China and Eurasia Forum Quarterly, Asia Policy, Asian Survey, International Journal of Korean Studies, Journal of Chinese Political Science, Harvard International Review, Asian Thought and Society, etc. Yu has also published numerous op ed pieces in many leading English and Chinese language media outlets around the world.
　　Since 1999, Yu has been a regular contributor to Comparative Connections (CSIS) on China, Russia and Central Asia. Previously, he was a fellow the Strategic Studies Institute, US Army War College (Carlisle, PA) and the East-West Center in Honolulu, president of Chinese Scholars of Political Science and International Studies (USA), MacArthur fellow at the Center of International Security and Arms Control at Stanford and a research fellow at the Center of International Studies of the State Council in Beijing. He received a B.A. (English) from the Beijing University of Foreign Studies, a M.A. (Chinese writing) from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and his Ph.D. (political science) from Stanford University.

　　兼任上海美国学会资深研究员(2002年至今)，美国战略与国际研究中心(CSIS)太平洋论坛 (Pacific Forum)中俄关系特约研究员(1999年至今)，上海华东师范大学俄罗斯研究所周边发展中心特聘研究员（2012年至今），美国俄亥俄州州立大学莫尚中心 (Mershon Center) 联系教授(1991年至今)，亚洲在线(AsiaTime Online)资深撰稿人(2003年至今)。曾任美国陆军战争学院战略研究所访问教授（2013-14），上海复旦大学美国研究中心﹑国际关系与公共政策学院客座教授(2005-06)，香港岭南大学客座教授(1998-99)，美国斯坦福大学亚太研究中心(Asia/Pacific Research Center) 访问学者(1998) ，美国夏威夷东西方中心(East-West Center)访问学者(1994-95)，中国留美政治及国际关系学会主席 (1992-94)、美国斯坦福大学军备控制中心(Arms Control Center)学者 (1985-89)。
　　他有中英文著作6部，中、英文学术和政策论文140余篇，以及大量的中、英文报刊文章。研究兴趣包括国际关系理论、国际关系史、东亚安全与政治、中国外交、中俄关系等。

　　CHEN Dingding 陈定定
　　陈定定，现为暨南大学国际关系学院/华侨华人研究院教授，著名社会智库海国图智研究院院长。另外，他兼任国际研究学会（ISA）亚太区副主席，德国全球公共政策研究所客座研究员。陈定定长期从事国际关系理论、中美关系、中国外交和国际公众舆论等学术领域的研究，并取得丰硕成果。
　　他于2007年在芝加哥大学获得政治学博士学位，2006-2007年在哈佛普林斯顿中国与世界研究项目任客座研究员，2007-2009年在汉密尔顿学院政府系任访问教员，2009-2016年在澳门大学政府与行政系任助理教授。陈定定的主要学术著作包括编著《国际关系中的预测：理论与实践》，与译著《国家为何而战》。他曾发表大量的学术文章、政论时评和著作，刊载在不同的国内外权威和核心期刊杂志上，如《国际安全》、《华盛顿季刊》、《国际研究季刊》等。
　　此外，他还是著名国际问题英文杂志《外交官》的专栏作家。在2016美国大选中，陈定定教授成功预测特朗普的获胜，在国内外学界引起较大反响，受邀在美国对外关系委员会（CFR）举行以中美关系为主题的讲座，洛杉矶时报也对其进行了专访报道。
